Survey

Being able to accurately survey, evaluate and assess ecological features on a site will lead to tailored measures to mitigate potential for impacts, feed into Master planning, and work with multi-disciplines to provide best practice solutions for a project and the biodiversity present

Habitat & Vegetation Surveys

Phase I and Extended Phase 1 habitat survey: Phase  1 surveys are the industry standard for habitat survey and mapping in the UK. The methodology is frequently used for initial assessment purposes and Aluco Ecology provides an extended service to assess the evidence of, or potential for, protected species on the site.Phase II habitat survey: Phase II surveys are more detailed than Phase I and concentrate on specific plant community types. After a preliminary or Extended Phase I survey, detailed sampling can be used to record species composition and frequency. The information is then considered against the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) system.Hedgerow survey: Hedgerow surveys may be required to determine the status of a hedge under the Hedgerows Regulations 1997.

Survey and Monitoring

Aluco Ecology we offer a comprehensive survey and monitoring service to include standard ecological survey methodologies. We can also design and implement a full range of ecological monitoring strategies, for development and conservation projects.
